Using the Wilson Reading System, I provide multi-sensory indivualized one-to-one or group reading tutoring.
With this approach, I directly and systematically teach students how to read fluently and accurately.
Instruction is very interactive and multi-sensory (visual, auditory, and tactile).
I also teach "total word construction," not just phonics. Students learn to spell as they learn to read.
The Wilson Reading System is designed for students who are reading and/or spelling below their expected level.
It is appropriate for students who have not internalized the sound and syllable system for reading and spelling.
This reinforces reading and spelling skills outlined in the common core standards.
This program grealty benefits:
- students with dyslexia
- students unable to read accurately:
- Slow, labored readers who lack fluency
- Students who may know many words by sight, but have difficulty reading new words
- Students who often guess at words

I can evaluate your child's reading skills, and provide a written report. You may present this report to the school as part of the process of obtaining reading services to meet your child's educational needs. I am also available to present my findings at Placement Meetings, Annual Reviews, and Triennial Evaluations.
